What Orb can do

Orb v0.7. Each line is checked by an automated test.

Voice

• Tap the orb to talk with the Grok Voice Agent. Tap again to stop.
• Talk over it to interrupt. It stops after 30 seconds of silence.
• Asks the web or X for current news when you need it.
• Ripples follow your voice and Orb's voice.
• Fresh greeting each time. Screen stays on while Orb is open.
• 10 free voice minutes per device. The passcode lifts the limit.
• Offline orb: after 10 free voice minutes the orb dims to white and a passcode unlocks voice again.

AI Profile

• Set Orb's name, bio, role, personality, speaking style, languages, Always and Never.
• Pick one of 10 presets, or Generate with AI from a short prompt. Drafts are highlighted until you Save.
• Role play: set a scenario and who Orb plays. Say "stop role play" to end it.
• Sound and voice: Female or Male voices, Rex by default, speed, and Test voice.
• Memory: Orb remembers key facts. Add, edit, delete one, or clear all.
• Reset to default restores the profile. Memory is kept.

User Profile

• Your name, what to call you, about you and time zone, used in every reply.

Appearance

• Theme colour wheel for the interface, white by default.
• Orb size from 50% to 100%. Everything scales together.
• Five orb looks: Original, Rainbow, Monochrome, Midnight, Sunset.
• Orb tone wheel tints the swirls. Reset to original anytime.

Calendar and reminders

• Sign in with Google to ask about your calendar or add reminders.
• Say "brief me" for today, or ask about tomorrow.
• Orb reads reminders back before saving. Say "undo" to remove the last one.

Typing

• The text box always works. During voice, typed messages are answered out loud.

Usage

• Spend today and this month, with the $10 daily cap.
• Voice minutes left on this device.
• Unlimited 24h: the passcode lifts the cap and the device limit for a day.

Install

• Install Orb from the browser menu. It opens full screen with its own icon.
